Verona: bike and rafting
A stroll in the city by bike and easy rafting on the river Adige
Exploring Verona by bike and then easily rafting on rubber boats on the river Adige: the most original and authentic ways to discover Verona and make it unforgettable.
The tour starts in Piazza Brà and ends at a dock on the River Adige, near Ponte Navi, 5 minutes walk from Piazza Brà.
Once on our bikes, we will visit Verona’s city centre and its famous monuments and squares, as well as its hidden and less known streets and alleys. Also, we will take a couple of delicious breaks in renowned pastry shops and traditional osterie.
We will ride on the streets by the river Adige to enjoy the river from above and see the bridges under which we will raft afterwards: Ponte Pietra, a Roman bridge, Ponte di Castelvecchio, built in the 14th century from the Scaligeris’ Family and many other more recent bridges. After a break in the neighbourhood called San Zeno to enjoy the view of the majestic Romanesque cathedral and the large square and to have a little snack, we will then ride on a cycling path to get to the dock where our rafting adventure starts, just outside the city centre.
There, we will leave our bikes and wear the life vests to descend the river after a few technical explanations from our rafting instructor. The easy descent on the rafting boat is an unusual and original way to enjoy the charm of the city, built and developed by the river. Good! You have chosen to discover Verona by bike and by rafting boat, two slow and natural ways; the best ways to live the moment and remember it.
